Custom Lyophilization

Custom lyophilization refers to the process of freeze-drying a substance according to specific customer requirements or preferences. Lyophilization is a dehydration process commonly used in various industries, including diagnostics and biotechnology, to preserve perishable materials or substances.

During lyophilization, the substance is first frozen and then subjected to vacuum conditions, causing the frozen water (or other solvent) to sublimate directly from solid to vapor without passing through a liquid phase. This process preserves the structural integrity and biological activity of the substance while removing moisture, resulting in a stable, dry product that is less prone to degradation.

Custom lyophilization allows customers to tailor the freeze-drying process to their specific needs, such as adjusting parameters like temperature, pressure, and drying time to optimize the preservation of the substance’s properties. This customization may be necessary to maintain the stability, potency, or shelf-life of sensitive materials, including pharmaceuticals, enzymes, proteins, probiotics, and other biological compounds.

Custom lyophilization services provide flexibility and control over the freeze-drying process, ensuring that the final product meets the unique requirements and quality standards of the customer.
