Ethylene Glycol

Ethylene glycol is a colorless, odorless, sweet-tasting organic compound with the chemical formula C2H6O2. It is a diol, meaning it contains two hydroxyl groups (-OH) attached to adjacent carbon atoms. Ethylene glycol is widely used as an industrial chemical, primarily as a precursor in the production of polyester fibers, polyethylene terephthalate (PET) resins (used in plastic bottles), antifreeze solutions, and various other industrial products.

Catachem offers ethylene glycol test kits.
